Rachel + Adam's Metropolitan Building wedding was, despite the heat that day, a true pleasure to photograph. Rachel has exquisite taste and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The Metropolitan Building is always a favorite of mine, but I was able to see it with new eyes this time. Their aesthetic was inspired by the venue, an old electrical factory filled with antique furniture and props, and they loved the French doors, bookshelves, and candelabra-filled rooms, and set about creating an intimate, glamorous, 1920s vibe.
They both wore family heirlooms - Rachel's unbelievably engagement ring is her great-aunt's, her earrings are my 97 year old Grandmother's, and Adam's wedding band is his grandfathers.
Rachel tells their Love Story: We met at a bar! (Yes, it can STILL happen). We've been together for 4+ years, and knew pretty quickly we were beschert (the yiddish word for meant-to-be). We keep each other laughing, constantly, with our silly sense of humor, and grounded with our deep-rooted values. We are, simply, each other's best friends.
