Claire + Ian's wedding took place on the rainiest day of the year! How lucky that The Foundry is just as beautiful indoors. Even with 100% chance of rain for 12 hours straight, it didn't have any bearing on the pure fun that ensued. These two are so in love and clearly, have so much fun with each other.
From the bride: We met a little over 8 years ago at a concert, a few weeks after Ian moved to New York from London. We had discussed marriage a few years into our relationship but it was not something either of us felt pressured to do. It turns out Ian planned to propose to me 2 years before he actually popped the question! He spent those 2 years saving up for the ring, and a few weeks into our crazy pet project (a Korean BBQ food stand in the LES), he took me and our dog, Neena, to a farm in Connecticut to propose. We spent the next 3 years of our engagement looking at wedding venues all over the world (England, France, Italy, Morocco, South Africa), and settled on The Foundry, a venue we can literally see from our apartment in Long Island City.
